Green Church Potluck
All are invited to participate in a
potluck dinner on Saturday, May 3 at
5:00 pm in the Activities Room, to
celebrate all the ways in which the
Community Church families practice
reduced energy use and resource
conservation.
It is requested that each dish be
accompanied by a description of the
ingredients, with an
estimate of the number of miles traveled
to bring the materials to your kitchen
(or other green qualities). Prizes will
be given for the most innovative ideas.

Volunteer
Appreciation Sunday is May 4. Mark your
calendar and plan on attending a special
worship service dedicated to the many
hands and efforts it takes to make the
Community Church of Durham a wonderful
place to be a part of! Lunch for all
will follow in the Activities Room.

and church volunteers.

Come enjoy dessert and put together gift
bags for mothers in local shelters.
Bring donated items that women would
feel pampered by.

Leadership Event
The
entire Leadership Team of our church
will be meeting on Saturday, May 17,
8:30-11:30 am in Fellowship Hall. This
group of elected leaders will be goal
setting for the coming year, working on
the budget, and spending time in shared
planning before many people disperse for
the summer. All members (and
soon-to-be-elected members!) of Boards,
Council and the Executive Committee are
encouraged to attend this important,
lively and engaging morning. Coffee and
refreshments will start the day.
